About
"What would happen if blues was played backwards? Everybody would get their lovers, their money, their cars and their houses back."
The Blues School
The blues school teaches you how to play the blues in a real easy way. How? One note and one rhythm and your first blues is already here. Step by step you can learn the blues, just by playing it. Open the first page and turn on the playbacks. In the first chorus the melody is played by the lead instrument. In the second chorus it’s your turn to play the melody.
The Author
The internationally experienced bandleader, multi-instrumentalist and composer Wolfgang Obert has been active as a professional blues and jazz musician for many years. Over the last ten years he has been resident in Berlin and played gigs – mainly as a saxophonist - at the main jazz club venues here, such as A-Train, B-Flat, Quasimodo, Schlot, and performed at many festivals and major events for film personalities and other public figures.
Wolfgang has taught blues and jazz on a number of instruments, and worked extensively throughout Austria, Switzerland and Germany, providing both one-on-one and ensemble classes. The content of the present blues school draws from his many years on the bandstand and from his teaching experience.
